Stress Management Seminars

A seminar is a series of meetings addressed by a panel of experts on a particular subject of common interest for a group of participants. The meetings are held to offer training in new skills to the participants. The presentation is usually organized in modules. The speakers may use a combination of lectures, audio visual aids, interaction with the participants followed by exercises related to the subject. The seminar provides written, verbal individual and group exercises and discussions with the help of questionnaires or similar formats. The seminars are held for the whole day of around 6-8 hours with a lunch break Sometimes it is finished in one session of 3-4 hours.

Stress management seminars are held to assist the participants to identify the causes of their stress and provide them with practical tools and training to address those causes in order to avoid, reduce and manage the stress on the job or off it.
The seminar on stress management may include topics such as how to make the most out of the work and life, what is stress, its nature, causes, stress response, its effects on the work and life of the individual, its impact on his domestic life, his work in the office, factory or corporation where the individual is working.

Other areas of discussion may raise questions about how the stress drains the value from the life; the physiological, mental, emotional and spiritual effects of stress. The participants may be asked to detail their stress profile with specific mention of how stress adversely affects the peace of mind and sense of wellbeing, how it generates irrational thinking and behavior, the benefits of positive thinking and the effects of negative attitude; managing your attitude and controlling your negativity, tapping the power of emotions, taking  crucial  decisions in respect of responses and reactions, dealing with stressful situations in various fields of life, interacting with stressed out people, the role  of decision management and affirmation in stress reduction, working effectively under the pressure of dead lines or time pressures, avoiding the habit of postponement, readjusting goals, priorities to increase productivity, rearranging conflicting priorities, working with multiple bosses and unrealistic expectations, removing clutter and doing work in organized way.

Some of the other issues at the seminar can be: whether not you are stressed and taking remedial step if you are; managing your energy flow; fillers and the drainers; utilizing the new mental resources; some techniques and exercises for relaxation; entertainment, both humorous and serious—while humor reduces the stress directly, the serious releases the pent up emotions or lets you know that there numerous worse situations than yours; understanding the value of your work and meanings in your relationships; discussing techniques like visualization and meditation; biofeedback techniques; right and nutritious diet, exercise , rest  and so on.

The participants in the seminar learn to assess their personal levels of stress, identify its root causes, understand their patterns of stress reduction, discuss tips and techniques for reducing and relieving stress, strategies for avoiding stressful situations, creative ways of dealing with the stressing situations, people and attitudes, dealing with stressful feelings like anxiety, worry and anger and finally how to live a meaningful, balanced, positive and creative life.
The participants in these seminars come from different employment backgrounds and positions. They may come from offices, factories, public and private limited companies, entrepreneurs, executives, managers, and employees at all levels. These seminars can be customized to serve individual needs of skill level groups.

They resolve the basic causes of stress such as the poor communication and misunderstandings, discrepancies in the intelligence levels of the members of the same team, boss employee relationship, the work environment, for example, poor lighting, excessive noise, harsher punishments, difficult nature of the work and so on. The modus operandi is that each participant is made to complete a survey prior to participation. The survey identifies the cause of stress. The participants are then supplied with tips and techniques based on the assessment arrived from the survey.
